Zoe Gavriilidou is a Professor at the Department of Greek of the Democritus University of Thrace. From November 2013 to November 2017 she was Head of the Department of Greek and she is currently Dean of the School of Classics and Humanities at Democritus University of Thrace. She graduaded in 1994 from the department of Philology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She had her D.E.A and Ph.D in 1995 and 1997 respectively from the University Paris XIII. She is author of the School Book of Greek Language Teaching for the second grade of Greek elementary schools and of various pedagogic materials. Recently she has been placed by the Ministry of Education as director of the Peripheral Education Center of Kavala and is member of the team which is responsible for the evaluation and reform of Greek language curricula of Greek primary schools or highschools.
